Which formula do I give my baby who is constipated?

My baby boy is 7 months old and I've just started giving him formula before bed time (Karicare Gold). The problem now is that every time he goes number 2 he crys hysterically and I think it's because he is a little constipated. Is this the formula and if so which brand is the best for constipation?
