I want to be a singer. please help me!?

my dream is to become a singer. a lot of people say that i have an amazing voice and if they are lying hopefully ill find out soon but i just want a few tips on getting started as an artist? i know it is really far fetched but it is my dream and i was tought never to give up on my dreams (yea corny right?)
