Cons of censorship during wartime?

Well with censorship during war it is like the war isn't real. My mom told me when she was a kid Vietnam was on the news everyday, and it was a real thing. I am not saying you have to be dishonorable to the memory of the fallen, but I am saying we need reality, and sometime it is not so pretty.
