Why does this question get deleted all the time?

Do you say the Pledge Of Allegiance? You know, put your hand over your heart and start out by saying "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America" Most people say The Pledge of Allegiance at the proper time. I have seen photos of the President doing it. Are they honoring just the flag itself, or are they honoring what the flag stands for and represents? They are giving allegiance and honor to the country, the USA, and not a cloth flag. It's the same way with the items you point out. It's what those items stand for and represent that is being honored and not just the item itself. It's a type of symbolism. The items you point out can't hear and they can't do anything. They are just symbols of who/what can hear and do things=God.
